My family and I are looking to find a new home for our loving basset hound/german shepard mix. He is roughly about 2 years old. It is a very hard decision to let him leave, but feel as though it would be best for him. We are planning many travels this year and even though he is not a very large dog, he is still too big to take with us.

He is built like a basset hound and has the coat and markings of a german shepard (mostly tan with some black markings). He is active and sweet and loving, a great family dog. He has been around kids, dogs, and cats and has never had a problem with either. He is used to being indoors (in the garage, and coming upstairs to play) with outdoor play available during good weather. I would willingly send him with his collar, leash, toys, and what food is left. He loves to play fetch and also loves to climb up in your lap for one-on-one attention (I sometimes think he believes he is a big baby).

I will gladly email or text anyone who is interested pictures of him. It is also important to us that we are keeping an open door policy meaning if you do decide to bring him to your home and for some reason it doesn't work out we will take him back instead of the possibility of him going back to the shelter and being killed.

If you are interested you can leave me a post here on TCM or email me at bookerfamilyof3@embarqmail.com.

I look forward to finding him a loving new home.

Please note that he is only shaped (short) like a basset hound, but looks like a german shepard.
