my daughter is 15 mo old and walking and getting into everything. well we went and bought cabinet locks for the kitchen those things drove me up the wall trying to install them. the screws are so little you can barely hold onto them. well my husband having big hands tried and tried and could not do it trying to hold the screw and the drill and the lock he just got so fustrated. so then i tried to do it and we must have some really strange cabinets cause it wouldn't screw in straight or you would get it all the way in and you could just pull it right off. they really need to invent something that is just a little easier to install. so i did the next best thing i took everything out of the bottom cabinets she could get hurt on and stored all of it in the laundry room. its a little bit more of a hassle to go the laundry room everytime but we do it to keep McKenzie safe. honestly i would just recommend removing all things from the cabinet and putting it up instead of buying those locks!

We had the same problem, luckily we have knobs and the only cabinet that we really needed a lock for is the one under the sink. I got the knob locks, the ones you just loop around the knob and than lock in the center.I also have one on the pantry, but that is to keep him away from foods that will make him sick.

They do make one that are magnetic and adhesive, but they are crazy expensive. My sister gave me some but I never used them.

We have absolutely no child proof locks on anything. I didn't want to have all those screws to deal with. So, the cabinet with all the harmful stuff has a twisty-tie on both knobs so he cannot get in there. The rest of the cabinets are ok for him to check out (but he doesn't go in them much, never has, never will). He prefers he big spoons and spatulas to pots and pans.

In the bathroom, honestly if you don't want her in there, just shut the door. That's what we do. We don't leave him alone long enough, either, for him to get into trouble...lol. He would rather play ball or color or ride his truck than investigate our drano. HAHA!

I think a child proof lock witha sticky on the back instead of a screw would be better, don't you?
