I honestly don't have a clue about summer camps in this region. I know plenty of churches offer them, but I'm curious if there are any outdoorsy camps with hiking, swimming, etc. Anybody know?

Bays Mountain Park offers summer camps for children entering 1st through 6th grade. My son went 2 years ago and *loved* it. He didn't go last year and was sad to miss it, so I plan to sign him up again this year. They hiked quite a bit, but did not swim. They got wet, but didn't actually "go swimming."

Here is the link: http://www.baysmount...on/daycamp.html
The dates for this summer are not up yet.

Hey, there is a BUNCH of information on summer camps on our event calendar. Acutally, if you look now, you'll see it with all the phone numbers for local camps this summer.

I LOVE overnight camp as a kid. I went to an all girls sleep away Bible Camp, and it was the best ever. I even went through a leadership training program there and was a counselor. Good times!

I work at Bancroft Bible Camp and would invite you to give us a try this summer. We offer lots of outdoor activities. We offer camps for ages 5-18. We have two weeks of teen camp, four weeks of jr. overnight camp and seven weeks of day camp. The day camp is a great alternative to daycare for the summer. Check out the details at bancroftbiblecamp.org. We are having weekend retreats right now, April 16-17 and 23-24 which is a great introduction to camp.
