Now, I haven't read the book, but this looks AWESOME! I love Amanda Seyfried, who is the female lead in this movie, and that Channing guy....whoa.
Anyone else going to see this movie?!

No. I can't see the movie. I read the book.... It's a bittersweet ending, but still sad. Every time I see a preview, I cry.. just because I know the ending.
But some ppl really like that kind of ending, lol. So I guess it just depends on which type you are!?!?! Do you like happy endings where the guy gets the girl in the end?

I'm strict when it comes to movies on the big screen that are derived from books..I MUST read the book first then i will watch the movie.
I think thats bad sometimes though b/c in your mind you conjure up how you think characters and places and objects should look but when you see it on big screen your thrown off totally with what hollywood did.
but i must read the book first which i purchased at target over the weekened for 5.99
so ill read it then go see the movie.
i read lovely bones but didnt get to the theatre to see it..is it still playing..i heard the movie was no good

After My Sisters Keeper and Nights In Rodanthe, I have vowed to never watch a movie after I read the book. I was soo upset with My Sisters Keeper. I realize they don't ever make the movie exactly like the book..but with this one, they completely changed the ending to the point that in the book the younger sister dies, but in the movie the sick sister dies. Dear John is a terrific book...think I'll steer clear of the movie.
