Grant writing? Advice needed

Would like to know if there is anyone who has written a grant that can share their experience in terms the process from start to finish. I have this community-oriented idea that may need funding and I've thought about writing a grant, but need some help in getting started in the process. Any suggestions or experiences that you can write about? Thanks.

If you need some coaching in grant writing, reach out the Arts Alliance Mountain Empire. Sometimes they offer classes or may be able to hook you up with someone to coach you for free. http://www.aame.info

I write grants for a living, but most of my experience is specific to higher education. If you have some specific questions, I might be able to help you out.

I'm currently a grant writer for a non-profit organization In Praise of Mountain Women and can lend a hand if you need. :)
