Hi everyone, I am working on my associates degree in early childhood and we are working on a project about divorced and step-parenting families.

Will you please just leave a small feed back if you have any input on this subject. My goal is to gather a percentage of local families to use in my report.

Thanks for your help!

Step parenting is just like being a real parent in some cases. My step children are young and they are treated just like my children are. You can't treat them differently they know... what kind of input are you looking for?

That's great, basically I'm just looking for how many people are affected by this common life-change and then any info you would like to add.

I appreciate your help, and it seems like you have the recipe for success with the step-children.

Thanks again. God bless.

I'm a new Step-mom and it has been hard with the X wife, not so much the child. We are expecting our first child together and this is probably not going to make that situation any better. It seems to be the X's insecurity. My stepson is the one that suffers unfortunately, but he is too young to realize it for now.

I can give you a lot of feed back on this subject. I divorced my kid's dad almost five yrs ago. It was the worst thing i've ever been through in my life! My kids were so hurt by this and i have many issues with my current husband, their stepdad. My daughter decided to live with her dad back in '06, when she was eight and hasn't come back to live with me since. As you can imagine i am going through so much pain from this, i cry now just thinking about it. All i ever wanted to be was a mom and now that is gone. The reason my daughter decided on this is because of the conflicts between her and her step-dad, my son has never lived with me and Steve, he was fifteen when i left. This is a very difficult subject to deal with. If i can help in any way, please contact me.
