Does anyone know how to get a child enrolled in pre-k?? I have tried contacting several different schools/people and cannot get any help!!!! My child will be turning 4 years old in August, we live in Sullivan county for right now and will not meet the income guidelines for pre-k but I know there has got to be a way to get my child enrolled so incase there is an opening for children that do not meet the income guidelines I will be ready! Any suggestions?

I have been wondering the same thing, however haven't done much research b/c it won't be til next year when my child is ready, and didn't know really where to start. I'm pretty sure we won't meet guidlines either....do you happen to know what they are? And I didn't realize there was a way to get in if you did not meet guidlines. Please let me know, thanks.

Call your local churches that have pre-k programs and get suggestions from them if you haven't already done this. I'm not sure how you can get around not meeting a pre-k's guidelines, although you may want to consider contacting social services and see if they have any options. Best to you and family.

My daughter is enrolled in the program and its excellent.
We were very lucky that she got it however there is a HUGE waiting list.
I know one child in her class moved and his spot has already been filled like within a day.
I'm not sure if we met income guidleines i think we may have been over im not sure which we usually are for everything but she got it in...
I think its becuase we went so early and signed up and they test them and all that.
however they are VERY strict with attendance. You can only be absent so many days and then you must have a meeting wtih the principal about this to see if you can stay enrolled. If you are tardy so many times it counts as one absence. its from 8-1:30
I'm thankful my little one is going to be starting kindergarten if she wasnt i dont think she would have gotten in again i think it was pure luck.
my daughter was going to a 2 day a week preschool at higher ground called playhouse pals.. we just could not afford it any longer is the only reason we left.
good luck and i hope you find something!

While I"m not there yet, I do know that there are churches in the area that offer preschool/ day care services. Victor Baptist Church has a great program and it is not over the top expenive either. I don't know a lot of about their hours or anything, but they are worth cecking out. Good luck to you!
